Indulge in Portuguese cuisine in Ponte de Lima

Ponte de Lima is a beautiful village, full of natural beauty, with a rich historical heritage, a vast gastronomy and land of the famous Vinho Verde wine, a fresh and aromatic variety of wine, unique to the northwestern region of Portugal, a must taste!
Ponte de Lima, which is considered the oldest village in Portugal, also has one of our favorite restaurants, A Carvalheira.
It's a fantastic restaurant to celebrate an event. The restaurant is within a beautiful farmhouse, a very pleasant and comfortable space, with lots of trees and greens!
We went there a few times with friends and always left with a smile on our faces!

The food here is simply delicious! The Portuguese cuisine is rich and flavorful, and this restaurante really does it justice, with very generous portions. If you are a group, like us, the best is to order a few different dishes! This way you'll be able to try some of the food that is quite traditional.
Just look at this, I bet you can almost smell the decadence yummmm.

Honestly there is no dish that I can recommend in particular. Sarrabulho, duck rice, cod with rustic bread, they were all great! Needless to speak of the hors d'oeuvre, or the desserts.... mouthwatering! WONDERFUL
